about
Marcia Pinskier
Not for Profit Governance Specialist, Recognised Public Speaker, Mentor, Nationally Accredited Mediator,
My career began in education and following a return to intense study and a period of employment at Monash University in the area of Governance and Leadership I found my place, giving back to the volunteer community and Not for Profit sector.
Through consultation and support in good governance practices, promotion of accountability, transparency and ethics I am able to contribute in an ongoing fashion to the growth and sustainability of so many worthwhile organisations.
My own experience, both as a member on and interacting with numerous boards inspired my motivation to become a mediator.
I would see leaders with a common goal but differences of opinions unable to reach resolution, especially when due process wasn't prioritised and the right mediator wasn't present.
It was then that I knew I had the power to make a difference.
The decision to attend the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse as a supporter for the testimony of survivors led to my passion for advocacy, acknowledgment and entitlements for sexual abuse survivors.
This is why my commitment and my promise, is to the empowerment of individuals and their communities through integrity, respect, dignity, community and inclusion.
Together, we can.
